Been buying a great deal of knives in the $20 to $50 recently, but have not landed a Steel Will of any kind….until today. These knives are of good quality and mainly found at the higher end of the price range for “budget knives”.
The Steel Will Modus I purchased is blue with orange back spacers. There is a little jimping on the top of the tip up blade (D2) to make cutting anything that much easier. The blade shape is nice and not just a regular drop point blade like the Steel Will Cutjack. The flipper action is solid and fast. Lastly, there is a nice sized lanyard hole and a good sturdy deep pocket clip for EDC.
In fact, this knife is one of the best options for EDC like the Civivvi Wyvern from a previous article. The only disadvantage that this this knife has compared to the “Blue Dragon” is that this knife is a little harder to open. On the other side, the Modus has a better lanyard hole and a slightly easier pocket clip. Thus, for around $42, you should definitely give the Steel Will Modus a try!
